Quick Overview

Its purple flowers go with every other color and this plant prefers some shade whenever possible. Use it to add a spot of color to enhance parts of your garden that have none.

* Required Fields

Native to the rainforests of South America and the Caribbean, this plant is an invitation to dream and travel. Also called the Glory Flower or the Princess Flower, they are cultivated for their large and bright flowers that can transform a dull garden into a beautiful one.

It grows up to 10-20ft and fares best under the sun, which is an easy feat under the tropical climate of Florida. Mix it with other plants to add colours and a creative feel to your backyard. It is a landscaping favorite for all gardeners and everybody will be able to enjoy it. Such an irresistible and pretty plant!

There is a wide variety of landscape uses and we will mention only a few one: along a rather low fence, or a walkway or garden path, for a garden bed as an accent. Another good idea is to put it under a palm tree that let some sun shine through. You can mix it with philodendron, jasmine or ginger among others.
